Over the past ten days we have been working on South Course aerification. Cores were pulled on the tees, greens, and approaches, while the fairways were solid tined. After aerifying each entity topdressing was applied and brushed into the turf canopy. The last process for our Spring aerification on the South Course will be Dryjecting the greens and approaches on April 3rd and 4th. Once we begin this process we will update with a separate blog post. Below are pictures from Spring aerification with a brief description.
- Here 17 South is being aerified. The cores will be cleaned up and the green will be topdressed.
- After the green is topdressed, the excess sand is blown across the green which helps fill any holes that were not completely filled.
- This is a close up of a green after the entire process is complete.
- One South fairway has been topdressed and is ready to be solid tined.
- After the fairway has been solid tined, the remaining sand was brushed into the turf canopy.
