I’m sure almost everyone has heard the weather forecast this weekend, and it will be nice to get a break from the cold. Hopefully, all of the snow melts before Saturday and play can resume on the North Course. Mechanical removal is not an option due to the turf injury that could result. Saturated conditions will result from all of the snow melt, which will limit how much maintenance we will be able to perform. Once the ground has thawed we will change cups, switching to the two cup system, and rake bunkers. Greens and tees will be blown off to provide a clean playing surface. At this point however, any rolling or mowing to improve the putting quality is not possible and would be detrimental to the long term health of the greens. Hopefully, the rain holds off and everyone can enjoy the warmer weather.
