As mentioned in our previous blog post, we dryjected South greens and approaches on April 3rd and 4th. This is a process that creates small holes in the green by injecting water at high pressures and filling the holes with sand. Benefits of this process include dilution of organic matter, increased infiltration rates, and increased firmness. Below are some pictures with a brief description.
- This is a section of the soil profile. The sand channel on the left is from the most recent Dryject procedure.
- Here a few passes have been made with the Dryject machine.
- After the green is complete the excess sand is brushed and the green is then rolled.
