Last night, around 1a.m the irrigation system turned on at 9 North green and proceeded to run until we arrived at 5:30 this morning. No irrigation cycles were scheduled to run last night. We believe that the rainy conditions last night and the possibility of lightning lead to a malfunction in the control systems. The result is soft and soggy conditions on 9 North green today and possibly the next few days. The Deep tine aeration performed Monday should help accelerate the drying although the weather forecast predicts more rain. The green is open for play.
