The Golf Facility
Wilmington Country Club, one of the nation’s premier country clubs, is home to two world class golf courses. Never a wait at the first tee or the need to make a starting time. Our members enjoy their game and camaraderie of friends at their leisure. Wilmington Country Club is also committed to amateur golf and has featured a number of USGA Championships.
The South Course, designed by the legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr., is our signature course and was opened for play on October 8th 1959. Recently renovated by Keith Foster in 2008, it plays a monstrous 7,334 yards, par 71. In 2009, Golf Digest named it the #6 best course remodel.
The North Course reflects Dick Wilson’s course design of smaller greens, narrower fairways and more sand bunkers than the South Course. The shorter North Course is considered less difficult than the south, however, when used for tournament play the North Course scores are no lower than the South Course scores.
With the latest in technology to analyze your swing, our learning center is conveniently located at the rear of the driving range. Heated hitting bays provide the perfect opportunity to practice your swing and stay tuned year round. Our courteous, professional golf staff is always available to assist with club fittings, equipment purchases and golf instruction.
Wilmington Country Club features a full length driving range with both turf and top of the line mats for off season practice. In addition, a full short game facility with a variety of bunkers and greens allow you to practice a range of shots from 50 yds and in.
Our Golf Shop is fully stocked with the latest equipment and finest apparel for on and off the course. We also have access to numerous vendors allowing you to special order a wide range of shoes, leisure wear, tech apparel and more.
