With the North course open for play and the prospect of seasonable weather, we have begun preparing the golf course for play. The extra pin position has been removed from each green and we are back to the “one cup system”.  Greens and tees have been cleared of debris and fairways will follow as soon as conditions improve. Rehabilitation of North bunkers has started which involves blowing out the debris then adjusting the sand depths where the sand has washed down the faces. We follow this by loosening the sand with our bunker rake machine and then use a hand rake to smooth the surface. We plan to complete this process before the coming weekend.

Course supplies such as tee markers, benches, and trash cans will also be placed on the course. We are briefly holding off on ball washers and water fountains due to the potential freezing temperatures overnight. When greens are completely thawed and have sufficiently dried, we can begin rolling north greens. We plan to hold off mowing greens until they break dormancy.  Please be aware, cart restrictions are important this spring due to a high potential for cart damage to the golf course.
